Description

Wallace Montgomery is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join our office. The Senior Transportation Planner will provide technical supervision and manage assigned projects. Responsibilities include contributing to proposal, budget, and schedule preparation for new projects, and potentially serving as Project Team Leader, overseeing the daily technical tasks of staff for assigned projects.

Essential Functions:

1. Facilitate coordination and effective communication across technical disciplines to build consensus and deliver unified project outcomes in a timely manner.
2. Assist with coordination between project engineers and subconsultants to develop project documents and reports.
3. Perform research, data analysis, writing, and oversee graphic development to produce project documents and reports in accordance with standards.
4. Participate in delivering project information in public forums or to meet client needs.
5. Monitor compliance with the scope of work and perform quality control/quality assurance procedures.
6. Maintain project records following company policies.
7. Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to junior staff.
8. Stay updated on current trends and methodologies related to transportation planning.
9. Assist in procuring work opportunities and promote the firm’s expertise to build client confidence and trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in civil engineering, environmental planning, urban planning, transportation studies, or related fields.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• AICP Certification is required.
