Description

Wallace Montgomery is seeking a senior planner to join our office. The Senior Transportation Planner provides technical supervision and manages assigned projects. They contribute to proposals, budgets, and schedules for new opportunities, and may serve as Project Team Leader, directing the technical requirements of staff for assigned projects.

Essential Functions:

1. Facilitate coordination and effective communication across technical disciplines to build consensus and deliver unified project outcomes in a timely manner.
2. Assist with coordination between project engineers and subconsultants to develop project documents and reports.
3. Perform research, data analysis, writing, and oversee graphic development to produce project documents and reports according to standards.
4. Participate in delivering project information in public forums or to meet client needs.
5. Monitor compliance with the scope of work and perform quality control/assurance procedures.
6. Maintain project records in accordance with company policies.
7. Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to junior staff.
8. Stay updated on current trends and methodologies related to their area of expertise.
9. Assist in procuring work opportunities and promote the firm’s expertise to establish client confidence and trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in civil engineering, environmental, planning, urban planning, transportation studies, or similar fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience.
• AICP Certification is required.
