Turning Point, in the Greater Lowell, MA area, is partnering with a leading regional transportation provider to identify an experienced Senior Operations Manager. This field-based role oversees a multi-service location with a large workforce, multiple facilities, and a substantial fleet, reporting to an Assistant Operations Manager and coordinating Transportation Coordinators.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of operations management experience, ideally in transportation, fleet, logistics or similar.
• Proven ability to lead managers and supervisors in a high-volume operation.
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with local roads, distances, and travel times in the Merrimack Valley area is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a good driving record.
• Comfortable with early-morning hours and able to stay composed under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary point of contact for school district partners and build strong relationships.
• Lead and reinforce a safety-first culture across all operations.
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly and act on results.
• Interview, hire, and train Transportation Coordinators and Supervisors; develop internal talent.
• Maintain staffing levels for drivers and monitors and prepare monthly schedules.
• Ensure employees hold proper certifications, training, and licensing.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance to keep fleet ready.
• Review and prepare monthly billing and payroll.
• Serve as the primary contact for outside vendors.
