Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Construction Manager to lead transportation, infrastructure, rail, utility, and transit projects in the DC region. You will manage projects from planning through construction, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

The role requires strong leadership, client relations, and experience with public sector agencies. You will mentor staff, support business development, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive project and construction management experience.
• Experience with transportation and public infrastructure and large multidisciplinary teams.
• PE license and strong client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple construction and infrastructure projects simultaneously.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, public agencies, and stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams, including construction managers, resident engineers, inspectors, and technical staff.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.
• Monitor contractor performance and resolve construction challenges, change orders, claims, and field issues.
• Lead project meetings, stakeholder coordination, and client communications.
• Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, staffing, and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, agency standards, safety regulations, and quality management procedures.
• Mentor and develop project staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Support business development efforts, including client relationship management, proposal development, and pursuit of new opportunities.
