Job summary
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineering Lead to join our Transportation team in Atlanta, GA. You will drive geotechnical investigations, perform comprehensive analyses, and coordinate with civil/structural/geotechnical teams on bridges, walls, embankments, and foundations.
Ideal candidates offer 15+ years of geotechnical experience, PE or PG certification, and strong writing/communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, civil or geological engineering is required.
- 15+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience is needed.
- PE or PG certification is required or in progress.
- Experience supporting bridge and heavy civil projects is essential.
- Strong writing, communication, and coordination skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, field testing, and lab programs.
- Review boring logs, data, soil/rock properties, and groundwater impacts.
- Perform analyses for bridges, embankments, foundations, and pavement elements.
- Develop geotechnical recommendations for designs, drawings, and specs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
- Provide construction-phase services including inspections and reviews.
