Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with 15+ years of experience to lead traffic and engineering projects. The role will oversee engineers, coordinate with state agencies, and serve as the client's representative.

This on-site or hybrid position offers opportunities across multiple offices in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia, with a sign-on bonus and a path to PE licensure in additional states. Strong leadership and design-build experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering leadership and project management experience.
• Experience overseeing engineers, budget/financial monitoring, and client representation.
• PE registration required; ability to attain PE in additional states.
• State Agencies experience with Design-Build preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple offices and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineers in development of plans and act as client representative.
• Lead project management and monitor finances and resources.
• Develop design alternatives considering constraints and permitting.
• Integrate sustainability and risk analysis into solutions.
• Mentor staff and evaluate leaders and teams.
