Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Transportation Engineer III - Traffic to execute complex transportation engineering tasks and lead project teams on highway and multimodal projects.

You will prepare plans, analysis, and reports while coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal disciplines. The role requires a professional engineer with 5+ years of experience in transportation, EIT or PE progress, and strong QA/QC skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Five or more years of professional engineering experience with a focus on transportation.
• EIT Registration required or six+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within six months preferred.
• Experience with roadway/traffic construction plans or studies.
• Experience directing tasks and performing QA/QC.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation engineering and planning work with project teams.
• Prepare maps, graphics, data analyses and presentations for meetings.
• Develop engineering plans and reports for projects.
• Coordinate field visits and data collection activities.
• Lead proposals, client communications and project documentation.
• Ensure QA/QC across multiple projects and supervise junior staff.
