Rinker Design Associates in Glen Allen, Virginia seeks a Senior Traffic Manager to lead traffic design and operational analyses for multimodal transportation projects. You will guide technical delivery, supervise team work, and coordinate with clients and agencies to ensure high-quality solutions.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 12+ years of traffic engineering experience, and a Virginia PE is preferred. Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Synchro, SIDRA, and HCS is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. licensure in Virginia preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in traffic engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of VDOT, AASHTO, FHWA, MUTCD, HCM, PROWAG, HSM.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Synchro, SIDRA, HCS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic design and operational analyses for roadway and multimodal projects.
• Direct and oversee technical development; ensure quality and safety.
• Lead project meetings and provide technical traffic design expertise.
• Collaborate with clients, agency reps, contractors, and internal teams.
• Assist project managers to meet schedule and budget goals.
• Develop ITS, signal designs, interchange reports and signing plans.
