Job summary

Mead & Hunt in Florida seeks an Experienced Transportation Engineer to plan, design and manage large traffic projects. You will serve as a senior SME and guide signal timing, TSMO, ITS, and transportation planning initiatives across the state.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a civil engineering degree, and 18+ years of experience, with a strong track record in project delivery, client relations, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited college or university.
• At least eighteen (18) years of relevant experience
• PE license in any state; FL preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior SME in traffic engineering, operations, signal timing, and planning.
• Lead development and implementation of signal timing plans and corridor studies.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineering staff.
• Manage transportation projects through planning, design, and construction support.
• Lead business development and client engagement in Florida transportation sector.
• Represent the firm in professional organizations and industry conferences.
