Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager focused on large transportation infrastructure projects, based in Florida (Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville). You will lead roadway design and oversee multiple projects, collaborating with engineers and clients to deliver complex programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, Florida PE license, and 15+ years of highway design experience with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Florida PE license required.
• 15+ years experience in highway design and local streets.
• Familiarity with FDOT engineering practices, standards and documentation.
• Proficient with Microstation, Bentley ORD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages roadway design and projects in Florida and southeastern states.
• Review, position and pursue projects for FDOT Districts and counties.
• Develops project plans, scopes, and budgets.
• Manages project timelines and ensures on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Provides technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Designs roadway geometrics, intersections, and related features.
• Performs engineering analyses and calculations.
• Ensures compliance with standards, regulations, and codes.
• Supervises and mentors junior engineers and technicians.
• Delegates tasks and responsibilities effectively.
• Provides feedback and coaching to the team.
• Communicates with clients, stakeholders, and project parties.
