Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer to lead our highway design and project management efforts in a collaborative Engineering Team. With 10+ years of highway experience and a Florida PE, you will guide teams to deliver conceptual and final design documents for roadway projects.

You will drive growth by pursuing opportunities, managing client relationships, and coordinating proposals while leveraging our ESOP and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 10+ years in transportation/roadway design and project management.
• Florida PE license or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Strong written and oral communication, self-starting attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation staff and manage multiple projects.
• Recruit talent aligned with the company culture.
• Develop sales/marketing initiatives for growth of transportation design services.
• Build backlog by pursuing and winning prime and subconsultant work.
• Maintain client communications, expectations, and satisfaction.
• Oversee proposals and presentations ensuring high-quality deliverables.
