Job summary
Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer to lead a talented, collaborative engineering team in Orlando, FL. With 10+ years of highway design and project management experience, you will oversee concept design exhibits and final design documents for FDOT projects.
You'll mentor staff, pursue new work, and strengthen client relationships while delivering high-quality transportation solutions that align with our family-oriented culture and growth goals.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10+ years as Transportation/Roadway Engineer/PM.
- Florida PE license.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, GEOPAK, GuideSIGN, AutoTURN.
- FDOT project delivery experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing transportation staff and projects.
- Recruit key talent aligned with company culture.
- Build and implement growth initiatives for transportation design services.
- Grow backlog by pursuing prime and subconsultant work.
- Manage client communications, expectations, and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
- Lead and coordinate proposals and presentations with high-quality output.
