Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer with 10+ years of highway/roadway design and project management experience to lead the transportation team. The role emphasizes client management, proposal development, and delivering quality design exhibits and construction documents for roadway projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university.
10+ years as a Transportation/Roadway Engineer/Project Manager.
Florida Professional Engineers License (PE).
Self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and proactive with ownership of work.
Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, GEOPAK, GuideSIGN, AutoTURN.
Familiar with FDOT design project delivery.

Responsibilities

Manage existing transportation staff and transportation projects.
Recruit key talent that align with our company culture.
Build and implement sales/marketing initiatives for growth of transportation design services.
Build up backlog by pursuing and winning work as prime and subconsultant.
Manage client communications, expectations, and satisfaction.
Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
Lead and/or assist with the coordination, development and production of proposals and presentations.
