Job summary

Parametrix is seeking a Transportation Engineer IV to join our DOT & Tribal Design team in Washington. You will lead or support the design and delivery of complex transportation projects, focusing on roadway and highway design, drainage and stormwater aspects, with a mix of technical work and client engagement.

The role requires a PE license, 7+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads. Hybrid work options available with offices in the Puget Sound region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• PE license required.
• Experience with WSDOT/Tribal/local agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support planning, design and delivery of complex transportation projects.
• Emphasis on local roadway/highway design, intersections, corridors and related improvements.
• Prepare PS&E packages, technical reports and design documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform QA/QC of engineering deliverables.
• Support project managers with scope, schedule, budget, proposals, and client communications.
• Mentor engineering staff.
