State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) seeks a Transportation Engineer 3 in the Division of Bridges, based at the Newington, CT headquarters. This lead role focuses on developing projects that improve safety, capacity, and efficiency of CT’s transportation system, including bridge design and related structures.
Travel for training and field reviews may be required; CTDOT emphasizes professional growth, a hybrid work option, and a diverse workforce.
Qualificações
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and three years of transportation engineering experience.
- One year of general experience at the working level in transportation engineering.
- PE licensure or EIT licensure may substitute for degree requirement.
- Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Responsabilidades
- Oversees complex design work for bridges and foundations.
- Performs field inspections to gather design information.
- Reviews structural conditions and prepares repair sketches and plans.
- Oversees and coordinates design reviews with district engineers and contractors.
