Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and assist them in and out of vehicles. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety standards are met on every trip.

The role requires a HS Diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification if required, and strong communication with time-management skills. You may operate a wheelchair lift and assist with activities when not driving.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
