Sunrise Senior Living in Arlington, VA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, caring transportation for residents. You will assist residents with mobility, operate wheelchair lifts, and ensure safety during every trip.

Requirements include HS Diploma/GED, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and CPR as required. The role emphasizes reliability, communication, and calmness in emergencies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; must be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification as required by position.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings for residents.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
