Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Reston, VA is seeking a Driver to provide safe, caring transportation for seniors. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles, maintain focus on safety, and complete driving logs to ensure accurate records.

Responsibilities include driving residents to appointments, conducting pre-trip inspections, and maintaining clean, safe transportation equipment. This role emphasizes reliability, clear communication, and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21+.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
