Job summary

Parametrix, a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead drainage and stormwater design for transportation projects across the Oregon/Idaho region. You will mentor engineers and help grow our drainage practice.

The role covers hydrology and hydraulics analyses, coordination with roadway and environmental teams, and ensuring compliance with DOT standards. Flexible hybrid schedule with base in Portland, Bend, Eugene, or Boise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with drainage for roadway projects.
• PE license in Oregon or Idaho, or ability via reciprocity.
• Strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater drainage.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage and stormwater design for transportation projects.
• Design storm drain systems, culverts, detention, conveyance systems.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling.
• Prepare drainage reports, calculations, plans, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with roadway, structural, environmental, and other disciplines to integrate drainage solutions.
• Apply department of transportation and local agency drainage design standards.
• Provide technical guidance, design reviews, and QA/QC for drainage deliverables.
• Build and maintain relationships with transportation clients and agency partners.
