Job summary

DO & CO group in New York is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead the dispatch, dock, ramp, and logistics teams in a fast-paced, flight-sensitive environment. You will oversee daily transportation, monitor real-time flight activity, and ensure on-time service while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires confident decision‑making, hands-on leadership, and the ability to optimize staffing, reduce overtime, and coach driving and dispatch staff.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of transportation, dispatch, logistics, or operations leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience supervising large, diverse teams of drivers, dispatchers, dock personnel or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and fleet compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation, dispatch, dock, ramp, and logistics activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time flight service.
• Monitor active flights and real-time operations, identify at-risk departures, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure dispatch entries and flight assignments are complete before departure times.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, guides, dock personnel, airline representatives, and internal teams to maintain service quality.
• Lead shift briefings and communicate priorities, ensuring clarity of assignments and safety expectations.
• Provide hands-on supervision during peak periods and redistribute resources to address bottlenecks and delays.
• Plan and publish employee schedules with appropriate staffing coverage.
• Monitor hours and overtime, adjusting staffing to minimize unnecessary overtime.
