Job summary

Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) seeks a Transportation Supervising Engineer (Construction Engineering) in Newington, CT. Lead multiple QA teams, oversee constructability reviews, records examinations, and value engineering to improve project delivery statewide.

Requires eight years in transportation construction engineering; one year in a lead role on complex projects. Telework possible after probation; HQ office in CTDOT headquarters.

Qualifications

Eight (8) years of experience in transportation construction engineering.
One (1) year of the General Experience must have been as an engineer with lead responsibility for complex transportation construction engineering projects in construction, surveys, or materials testing.

Responsibilities

Supervise the Quality Assurance unit teams (Constructability Reviews, HQ Records Examination and Project Final Packages, Value Engineering).
Provide guidance to address constructability concerns and improve the review process.
Coordinate with Design/Engineering to implement Value Engineering and updates to CTDOT manuals and procedures.
