Job summary

CTDOT is seeking a Transportation Supervising Engineer (Construction Engineering) to supervise multiple QA teams in Newington. You will guide constructability reviews, records examination, and value engineering while coordinating with design and district staff to improve the review process and ensure compliance with federal regulations.

The role emphasizes leadership, policy interpretation, and project delivery across CTDOT divisions, including liaison with contractors and outside agencies.

Qualifications

Eight (8) years of experience in transportation construction engineering.
One year leading complex transportation construction projects.
Experience with policy, standards, and CTDOT procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervises and leads staff in the Quality Assurance unit.
Coordinate field operations with districts and other units.
Provide technical guidance on constructability, value engineering, and recordsExamination.
Develops performance metrics and oversees documentation and reporting.
