Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI methods across operations. You will identify and drive change using analytics and lean tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or supply chain with 5+ years warehousing/transport or manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years related experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and SQL/DAX knowledge.
• Experience with Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, PDCA and Kaizen.
• Core engineering/data analysis skills: slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics.
• WMS tools (CAD/AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST) and labor management systems.
• Knowledge of WMS operations, data analytics, lean methods; equipment and automation awareness.
• Design tools: JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, OTM; Tableau for mapping.
• Lean Six Sigma, cPMP, ISO/QMS; APICS certification.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Manages CI projects and supports go-live and certifications; interacts with management.
• Develops competency in lean tools and coaches teams in CI, QA, and lean principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; mentors on lean methods.
• Provides regular data-driven progress reports and recommendations for inventory/SC strategy.
