Job summary

The Landings of Chestnut Grove is seeking a dedicated Resident Transporter to safely transport residents to medical appointments, social outings, and other activities. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and a compassionate approach to elder residents.

Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service is preferred, with training provided for operating the transport vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassion for elderly.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, social outings, and activities.
• Assist residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fueling and basic upkeep; report issues.
• Coordinate scheduling with staff and residents for timely transportation.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
• Maintain transportation logs and document incidents.
• Engage with residents in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience.
