Job summary

Hope Springs is seeking a dedicated Resident Transporter to transport residents safely to medical appointments, activities, and outings, while assisting with boarding and exiting vehicles and ensuring comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; prior experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service is preferred. Training will be provided for operating passenger vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
• Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including wheelchairs and walkers.

Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as directed.
• Resident Assistance: Provide assistance to residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained; report issues to management.
• Schedule Coordination: Work with staff and residents to ensure timely transportation scheduling and efficient route planning.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols.
• Communication & Documentation: Maintain transportation logs and report incidents to staff.
• Customer Service: Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner.
