Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Transmission Contracts Analyst (or Senior) to support the Transmission Provider and Transmission Owner functions. You will negotiate and execute transmission service and interconnection agreements, monitor filings and regulatory changes, and safeguard the company through credit risk instruments.

You will also help develop tariffs and provider processes, interfacing with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate billing, compliance, and timely responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Alternative: High School/GED with 9+ years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the negotiation and execution of transmission service agreements and generator interconnection agreements.
• Develop understanding of OATT and related regulations impacting it.
• Monitor transmission customer accounts and respond professionally and timely.
• Assess creditworthiness and manage letters of guaranty and letters of credit.
• Implement process measures for the Transmission Service Agreements process.
