Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Lead to manage projects across planning, routing, siting, and permitting for utility clients. You will oversee routes, siting studies, and stakeholder engagement while mentoring staff.

The role requires strong leadership, GIS proficiency, and the ability to coordinate across environmental, regulatory, real estate and legal teams, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electric transmission siting or related infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in planning, geography, environmental science, or related discipline.
• Proven leadership of complex siting projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication with utilities, regulators, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission-line, substation, and infrastructure siting assignments.
• Guide routing, permitting strategy, and regulatory filings.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across environmental, engineering, GIS, permitting, and legal.
• Mentor junior staff and promote best practices.
• Support business development and client relationship management.
