Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Lead to manage siting across transmission projects, including routing, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, advise utilities and project leadership, and ensure strategic and compliant siting outcomes.

The role requires 8+ years in transmission siting, strong GIS and regulatory experience, and willingness to travel for site visits and hearings. Hybrid work policy supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related fields; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in electric transmission siting or related work.
• Proven leadership of complex siting projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong GIS, routing, permitting strategy, regulatory filings experience.
• Excellent communication with utility executives, agencies, communities, landowners, and technical specialists.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits, agency consultations, and public hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission-line, substation, and infrastructure siting assignments.
• Serve as senior advisor to utility clients on routing, permitting, regulatory, property, stakeholder, and constructability considerations.
• Guide agency strategy, public engagement, and responses to critical project risks.
• Resolve complex technical, agency, and stakeholder conflicts, determining when strategic adjustments or escalations are required.
• Support proposal development, client relationship management, business development, and industry forum presentations.
