Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transmission Project Manager in St. Louis, MO to lead the management of transmission line and substation projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction across the full project lifecycle.

The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, developing integrated schedules and cost forecasts, and maintaining executive‑level reporting. Occasional travel and remote work from a mutually acceptable WSP office are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field within the Power & Energy market.
• 10+ years of relevant post‑education experience with PM responsibility in Power Delivery, transmission, substation, or related infrastructure.
• Experience managing medium to large, complex transmission line and/or substation projects for electric utility clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of concurrent transmission line and substation projects.
• Provide senior‑level PM oversight for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, procurement, and commissioning.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate integrated project schedules and cost forecasts.
• Manage project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, earned value, and invoicing.
• Engage clients and maintain relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, environment, and QA/QC.
• Establish governance with risk registers, logs, change control, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Mentor junior PMs and project team members on best practices.
