Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to oversee end-to-end transmission planning projects and lead multi-disciplinary teams in Denver, CO. You will drive business development, scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling, while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of power systems analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field.
• 5 years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge in project management, techniques, and procedures.
• Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
• Experience leading technical aspects of consulting engagements in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects, from business development through execution.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams; develop scope and fee structures; ensure quality deliverables and client relationships.
• Mentor and develop talent within the team; lead contract development and negotiations.
