Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s 1898 & Co. unit in Chicago is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to lead an execution team within Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis. You will drive project excellence, staff development, and alignment with client goals in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Lead a multi-disciplinary team, oversee QA/QC, and partner with directors to grow the practice while delivering high-quality grid solutions for utility clients across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or related field.
• 5 years of related experience required.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence, lead, and manage change.
• Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead an execution team within the Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis business line and ensure project excellence.
• Oversee staff development, staffing levels, and billable targets.
• Coordinate workload, QA/QC efforts, and adherence to safety policies.
• Collaborate with managing directors and business line leads on goals and values.
• Support business development and grow the team’s project portfolio.
