Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Manager - Utility Transmission Planning to lead a team of transmission planning engineers, supervising technical work and coordinating with clients on T&D projects across North America.

The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering with 10+ years of experience and strong knowledge of NERC, FERC, and ISO interconnection practices, plus excellent leadership and communication skills. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of transmission planning and power system studies experience.
• Familiarity with North American standards (NERC, FERC, ISO interconnection).
• Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of transmission planning engineers and supervise technical work.
• Coordinate with clients and Jacobs PMs on T&D studies and planning.
• Support business development, proposals and bidding efforts.
