Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Lead to manage utility clients on transmission projects—from planning through stakeholder engagement. You will lead siting workstreams, mentor staff, and ensure strategic guidance across environmental, regulatory, real estate, and legal disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (preferred advanced degree or cert).
• 8+ years of experience in electric transmission siting or related work.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex siting projects and teams.
• Advanced experience with GIS, routing, permitting strategy, regulatory filings, budget/schedule management, and client management.
• Established ability to communicate with utility executives, regulators, communities, landowners, and technical specialists.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits, agency consultations, and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transmission-line, substation, and infrastructure siting assignments with high-risk or multi-jurisdictional issues.
• Serve as senior advisor to utility clients on routing, permitting, regulatory, property, stakeholder, and constructability considerations.
• Guide agency strategy, public engagement, and responses to project risks.
• Resolve complex technical, agency, and stakeholder conflicts; escalate when needed.
• Support proposal development, client relationship management, business development, and industry forum presentations.
