Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Supervisor of Transmission Planning Modeling & Compliance to lead a specialized team at the heart of transmission strategy and grid reliability. You will oversee studies and analyses that guide major investments and ensure compliance with NERC/FERC requirements, while partnering across Engineering and Regulatory Affairs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in transmission planning, power systems, utility operations, or related disciplines.
Experience leading teams, projects, or complex technical initiatives.
Knowledge of transmission planning, power system modeling, reliability standards, or regulatory compliance.
Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.

Drive strategic transmission planning initiatives that support reliability, growth, and our clean energy future.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of transmission planning, modeling, and compliance professionals.
Oversee critical studies, analyses, and recommendations that guide major infrastructure investments.
Partner with leaders across Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Program Management.
Ensure compliance with evolving NERC and FERC requirements while maintaining operational excellence.
Communicate complex technical findings and business impacts to executive leadership and stakeholders.
