Job summary

New York Power Authority is seeking an experienced maintenance and operations supervisor to oversee daily plant reliability, monitor budgets, and approve capital investments in infrastructure and equipment.

The role includes supervising maintenance crews, implementing asset management policies, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with other departments to shorten outages. Hiring manager is Michael Fuchs; Department: Transmission; Grade: OM05M1.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Associate's degree in a related industry.
• Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Completed a recognized apprenticeship or have equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in applicable field.
• Experience supervising craft personnel preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance department crafts and coordinate day-to-day work activities.
• Implement MRM and Asset Management policies and procedures.
• Provide input to planning, scheduling and evaluation of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Contribute to budget for maintenance requirements and justify expenditures.
• Develop staff skills, oversee performance, and manage labor relations.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize manpower and outages.
• Ensure safety and quality of work per approved plans and procedures.
