Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Transmission MAOP Engineer to support MAOP reconfirmation and material verification programs for natural gas transmission assets in the Charlotte area. You will help verify MAOPs, coordinate data collection, and ensure compliance with 49 CFR Part 192, while collaborating with multiple teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; PE license or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with MAOP Reconfirmation Program administration under 49 CFR Part 192.*192.624 and *192.607.
• Manage Facility MAOP Reconfirmation prioritization and data collection with contractors.
• Establish MAOP reconfirmation methods and maintain program schedules.
• Support engineering analyses including pressure tests, material records, and failure calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors; participate in on-call rotation.
