Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Transmission MAOP Engineer to verify MAOPs for transmission pipelines and facilities, especially where TVC records are incomplete, and to support MAOP reconfirmation and material verification activities.

You will work with multiple teams to establish methodologies, manage data collection, and ensure compliance with 49 CFR Part 192.624/192.607 while coordinating with on-call personnel for integrity reviews and repair decisions.

Qualifications

• Four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree is required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in engineering can be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
• Senior Engineer requires PE registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with MAOP Reconfirmation and Material Verification Programs per federal regulations.
• Manage data collection, schedules, and data integrity for MAOP programs.
• Contribute to program metrics, budgets, and status reporting.
• Participate in on-call rotation for integrity dig reviews, failure pressure calculations, and timely repairs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors to gather data and ensure safety compliance.
