Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer based in Boise, Idaho, with flexibility for Nampa, Portland, Billings, and Salt Lake City.

This role offers hybrid or remote workstyles and requires leadership of high‑voltage transmission projects up to 765 kV. The candidate will guide planning, design, and delivery, engage with clients, mentor staff, and ensure quality and safety standards across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of post-education experience in transmission engineering, managing projects and leading teams.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Excellent written and oral English communication for internal and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Develop initial project execution layouts and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and meetings.
• Maintain project workflow and cross-disciplinary communication.
• Forecast resource needs for planning and staffing.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• Lead project teams of varying sizes and travel as needed.
