Qualifications

...ABEt-accredited engineering program required; degree from ABET-accredited program.
...Proficiency with PLS-CADD required to review transmission line models.
...7+ years of project-team experience on transmission line design, cost estimates, and schedule coordination.
...Knowledge of right-of-way requirements, sag/tension checks, and construction documents.
...Familiarity with design codes such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318.
...Proficiency with MS Office; strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range.
Conduct cost analyses and develop design criteria for routing and siting.
Specify transmission line components and conductor selection; liaise with vendors and clients.
Direct a small project team.
