Job summary

Sargent & Lundy based in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, seeks an experienced engineer to design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range. This role includes mentoring junior team members and ensuring compliance with specifications while utilizing PLS-CADD software.

Qualifications

• 12 or more years of transmission design experience.
• Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 500kV.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with specifications.

Skills

Transmission design experience

Proficiency with PLS-CADD

Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Education

BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
