Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team in North America. The role focuses on hands-on HVAC/HVDC transmission engineering, project coordination, and design delivery for 69kV–500kV projects.

Candidates should have a civil engineering background with 10+ years, a PE, and proficiency in PLS-CADD. Travel up to 30% is possible; strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line projects (69kV–500kV).
• Proficient with PLS-CADD software (PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER a plus).
• PE license.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC/NSC and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV/EHV transmission line projects from 69kV to 500kV.
• Prepare engineering, detail design drawings, studies, plans, and bid documents.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, HV electrical, telecom, and geotechnical teams.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, Account Manager and Technical Lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct QA/QC.
• Engage with clients and support BD and project execution.
