Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team in North America. The role involves hands-on HVAC/HVDC transmission design, studies, and coordination across multiple engineering disciplines.

You will assume leadership roles in project management and client engagement while mentoring junior staff. The position requires a civil engineering background with at least 10 years of experience on transmission-line projects up to 500 kV and strong knowledge

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line projects from 69kV to 500kV.
Proficiency with PLS-CADD software; familiarity with PLS-POLE or PLS-TOWER is a plus.
Design experience per NEC, NESC, IEEE and local codes; strong document and package delivery experience.
PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

Support, develop, and deliver HV and EHV transmission line projects from 69kV up to 500kV.
Independently perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies, and plans; prepare bidding documents and specs.
Coordinate with environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
Collaborate with civil, structural, high-voltage electrical, telecom, and geotechnical engineers to develop complete IFC design packages.
Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, Account Manager, and Technical Lead to support project and client services.
Mentor junior team members and perform QA/QC on work.
