Job summary

Exo Group, LLC in Magnolia, TX is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to design overhead lines and support field engineering. You will own design components, develop packages, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedules.

You will use PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower to model structures, perform foundation design, and review drawings. The role requires collaboration across offices and field sites, with occasional travel and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5–10 years of transmission line engineering, construction support, field engineering, or related utility experience.
• FE/EIT certification preferred; progress toward PE licensure expected.
• Transmission line design knowledge for structures, foundations, conductors, grounding, clearances, loading, constructability.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-Pole; working knowledge of PLS-Tower and related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhead transmission line design across voltage classes and project types.
• Own defined design components or smaller work packages and develop complete design packages.
• Use PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower for modeling and design.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, clients, and field teams to resolve issues and meet schedules.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, turnover documents, and records as assigned.
• Identify design discrepancies and escalate safety-critical issues.
• Coordinate with field engineers and inspectors to translate requirements into acceptance criteria.
• Provide informal guidance to Engineer I staff and perform peer checks.
