Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 0-5 years of relevant engineering or internship/co-op experience.
• FE/EIT certification preferred or expected to be pursued.
• Transmission line design knowledge including structures, foundations, conductors, grounding, clearances, loading, and constructability.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole; exposure to PLS-Tower and related design software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel; experience with calculations, reports, and document control.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhead transmission line engineering and design assignments across voltage classes and project types.
• Develop or support complete transmission line design packages, including drawings, tower details, and BOMs.
• Use PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower and related tools under appropriate supervision.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, clients, and field teams to resolve issues and support schedules.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and as-built information as assigned.
• Identify design discrepancies and elevate safety-critical issues when needed.
• Complete calculations, model updates, and quantity takeoffs using established templates.
