Job summary

My City Transportation is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Transmission & Distribution) to lead overhead T&D projects from planning through construction. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships while directing engineering teams to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in T&D engineering and at least 3 years in project management, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience within the Transmission & Distribution industry.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience leading T&D engineering projects.
• PE license and/or PMP certification are preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead T&D engineering projects from initiation through closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and overall financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utility clients and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering, environmental, permitting, right-of-way, procurement, and construction activities.
• Develop proposals, support contract negotiations, and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Monitor project risks, quality, and compliance with company and industry standards.
• Provide regular project updates to clients and internal leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and support the growth of the engineering team.
• Participate in business development and strategic planning initiatives.
• Travel to client and project sites as needed.
