Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a senior business-strategy professional to lead competitive transmission and energy storage initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, analyze financial and regulatory inputs, and prepare presentations for executive stakeholders.

In this role, you will collaborate with policy, regulatory, finance, and budgeting functions, support expert testimony, and drive strategic initiatives across the organization while leading a small team to deliver

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in financial or business-strategy roles.
• MBA preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategize to attain competitive bid development opportunities for electric transmission investments and grid-scale energy storage.
• Manage and perform proposal and bid development with cross-functional teams and complex financial analysis.
• Research market conditions to support recommendations and participate in discussions with utilities, vendors and stakeholders.
• Support finance and regulatory functions including budgets, filings, and expert witness testimony as needed.
• Review presentations for the board, senior leadership, and conferences.
• Lead and oversee work of team members.
