Job summary
TRC, Member of WSP, is seeking a Transmission Engineer to lead design for high‑voltage transmission projects. You will develop line designs, material lists, and construction packages for 115kV–500kV projects.
You will coordinate environmental, licensing, and real estate aspects while overseeing field construction and ensuring code compliance. Strong CAD skills and PE eligibility are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in electrical transmission line design engineering.
- P.E. preferred or eligible for certification.
- Proficiency with power line and structure modeling CAD tools (PLSCADD/POLE/TOWER).
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards for electric utility practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform design of transmission and distribution lines up to 500kV.
- Develop material lists, schedules, and design packages for construction.
- Coordinate environmental, licensing, and real estate considerations.
- Monitor construction to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
- Act as Resident Engineer and manage project teams.
