Job summary
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure is seeking a Communication Design Engineer in Pearl, MS. You will lead design and development of high‑performance transmission cables, applying electromagnetic and optical theories to conductor geometry, shielding, fiber selection, and termination design.
You will validate designs through prototypes, testing, and design reviews, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, UL, and related standards while collaborating with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in cable design, transmission-line/RF propagation, data communications, or fiber-optic product development.
- Experience designing and qualifying cable products.
- Experience interpreting specifications, drawings, and test data.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of coaxial, twisted-pair, fiber-optic, and hybrid cable products.
- Apply electromagnetic/optical theory to conductor geometry and shielding.
- Validate designs via prototypes, tests, and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
