Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure seeks a Communication Design Engineer to lead design and qualification of high-performance cable products in East Granby, CT. You will apply electromagnetic and optical theory to guide conductor geometry, dielectrics, shielding, and termination design.

The role emphasizes product development, validation through testing, and collaboration with Product Management, Manufacturing, and QA to ensure robust, standards-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in cable design or transmission-line/RF propagation.
• Experience designing and qualifying cable products and interpreting specs/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission cable design and product development for coaxial, twisted-pair, fiber-optic, and related constructions.
• Define and qualify products to industry standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
