Job summary

The Town of Winchester, via the Jenks Center, seeks a qualified permanent part-time van driver to transport seniors and individuals with transportation challenges. You will operate a wheelchair-accessible minivan, assist passengers in and out, and ensure safety and courtesy on every trip.

Responsibilities include keeping the vehicle clean, reporting concerns to the Transportation Coordinator, complying with driver training and First Aid/CPR as needed, and using GPS apps for efficient routing.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver\'s license (no CDL) and CORI check.
• Must have good driving record and enjoy working with older adults.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel and push a wheelchair up the ramp and secure it.

Responsibilities

• Transport seniors (14 or fewer) to Jenks Center, shopping and entertainment venues.
• Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle and with doors.
• Operate wheelchair-accessible minivan and secure wheelchairs.
• Keep vehicles clean and report concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.
• Comply with driver training and First Aid/CPR requirements.
